I have both screencaps and stills from this episode. Overall an amazing episode once again from Nikolaj as Jaime. The standout scenes were when Cersei (Lena Headey) told Jaime of her pregnancy, then the amazing scene between Jaime and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) in the vaults of King’s Landing. Honourable mention has to go to Jerome Flynn as Bronn. He’s always a standout when he’s on. Loved him calling Jaime a “cunt” and that no one else is allowed to kill Jaime but him. I loved the rest of the episode, particularly the parts with Jon (Kit Harington) and Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and Drogon, and then the ending with the “Magnificent Seven” with Jon, Tormund (Kristofer Hivju), Gendry (Joe Dempsie), Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer), Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen), Thoros of Myr (Paul Kaye) and The Hound (Rory McCann). I couldn’t decide which image I would use in this post as Nikolaj was amazing throughout, but I thought I’d pick the one where Jaime finds out from Cersei of the pregnancy. I don’t know I just love the vulnerability Nikolaj displays at that moment.

An amazing behind-the-scenes look at Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) when she brought Drogon to attack the Lannister/Tarley stragglers after the sacking of Highgarden in episode four Spoils of War. Nikolaj gives us his ‘expertise’ on the scene and what it’s like to be there in one of the most intense battle sequences to date on GAME OF THRONES.

What can be said about that episode?! I loved that it was Jaime-centric in terms of his showing how good a commander he is as well as his dedication. I’m imagining the look on Joffrey’s (Jack Gleeson) face if he could have seen his father going at Drogon and Dany (Emilia Clarke) like he did. I’m remembering in Two Swords from season four where Joffrey was going after Jaime for his lack of accomplishments in the Book of Knights. Those pages will be filled to the brim from this season alone. I tried to get as many screencaps from the battle as possible considering how frenetic it was. Also I corrected the name of the promo from episode five. It is now Eastwatch.

My apologies for being late with these, but I had a big day yesterday and today is a holiday here in Canada and I had a lot of things to do to get ready for today. Here we are though. This episode was just freaking amazing. With the long-awaited meeting between Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Danaerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) to Euron Greyjoy’s (Pilou Asbæk) “gift” to Cersei (Lena Headey), to the attack on Casterley Rock by The Unsullied, this episode just ticked all the boxes in terms of lining up all the ducks. The best scene though was with our Nikolaj and Dame Diana Rigg as Lady Olenna Tyrell in her final “fuck you” to the Lannisters in the face of her imminent demise. What a tour-de-force for both Nikolaj and Diana. The dialogue, staging, and the incredible score from Ramin Djwadi and The Rains of Castamere refrain just sewed this episode up into a tidy package this Nikolaj fan and GAME OF THRONES fan could want. Thank you Dan and Dave for such an amazing episode and to Nikolaj and Diana for your performances.

GAME OF THRONES is at the San Diego Comic Con this weekend and HBO dropped another trailer for us. Here we can see Jaime with Cersei (Lena Headey) in a very Jaime/Cersei position. Then we see Jaime shown from behind strolling into what looks to be the courtyard at Highgarden where Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg) fled after her goodbye with Margaery (Natalie Dormer) early in season six. Then finally we see Jaime on his horse reviewing Lannister troops on the battlefield. My guess this is outside Highgarden, or preparing to go against Daenerys’ (Emilia Clarke) on the battlefield. All in all looks like our Nikolaj will be getting some really good scenes this year. I was going to provide some screencaps of those scenes, but I thought I’d just let the trailer speak for itself, also the featured post image is from Jaime’s review of the troops.

We finally have the first three episode titles for GAME OF THRONES season seven. The first two concern more Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) returning to Westros and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) arriving at Dragonstone to confer with Dany, so there’s nothing of note for Jaime. However, episode three features Cersei (Lena Headey) and some issues between she and Jaime. Fingers crossed he’s starting to fall out of love with her.

HBO has released a second trailer to season seven. Here we get to see more of Nikolaj as Jaime. He’s not looking too happy this year what with Cersei (Lena Headey) taking the throne and killing those in the Sept and crowning herself queen. I’ve done a screengrab of one of Nikolaj’s scenes. In the featured image above it looks like he’s on a field where in the previous trailer we saw Drogon with Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) on his back flying over the Dothraki blood riders and the Unsullied. Here’s hoping our Kingslayer remains alive this season. You might also notice a new thing to the site and that is a countdown clock to the season seven premiere. It seems so far away yet it’s less than a month. Now a note about what’s been going on with the site. A few days ago I noticed my page rankings had dropped and I couldn’t figure out why. Looking into the issue I found that the site had some what could be termed as malicious code inserted into only a select number of my pages. This made me have to take some draconian steps and completely delete the main site’s files and start again, thankfully saving the posts, pages and other needed things to begin again. By the Grace of the Seven the gallery and the press section remained untouched so that’s why they remained up. I’ve scanned the site many times using at least a dozen online tools and submitted a report to Google who has pronounced the site clear. I just wanted to tell you that I mean to keep the site clean for you to visit and get all your Nikolaj news. Thanks for understanding why the main site was down. Now without further delay….. #WinterIsHere

Finally a promo for season seven. Here Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) doing the “long walk” to their individual thrones: Jon at Winterfell, Dany at Dragonstone and Cersei at King’s Landing. No Jaime, but I truly am hoping he breaks with Cersei and agrees to joining Jon in the fight against the Whitewalkers.

Nikolaj has finally been acknowledged for the work he’s putting in as Jaime Lannister on GAME OF THRONES. Nominations came out for the Critic’s Choice TV Awards. Here is who he is up against in the Best Supporting Actor field. We wish Nikolaj congratulations and good luck.

Personally, there really isn’t anyone in the field that is as good as Nikolaj. My own opinion of course. Fellow GAME OF THRONES stars Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) was also nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category, as well as Dame Diana Rigg DBE who was nominated in the Best Guest Performer in a Drama Series category for her role as Olenna Tyrell. Congratulations Emilia and Ms. Rigg. GAME OF THRONES also garnered a nomination for Best Drama Series.

My apologies for these being late. I had a ton of computer problems to deal with and the clip took longer than usual to convert and for some reason the screencaps wouldn’t upload into the right album. So! Here we are, finally! How did everyone enjoy the season two finale? I did. I think the one moment that just had me bawling were the scenes with Daenerys where she was being tempted in the Houses of the Undying with the return of Kahl Drogo and their child, The Stallion Who Will Mount The World. Emilia Clarke just broke my heart with her reaction to seeing Drogo. And what a shock to have Jason Momoa back, even for a little bit. I miss him so much. A lovely moment with Robb (Richard Madden) with him following his heart to marry Talisa (Oona Chaplin). And what about the scenes between Nikolaj and Gwendoline Christie as Brienne? What a treat to see these two trading barbs, though sometimes it doesn’t look too much like Brienne is liking Jaime too much. You don’t think? We got dragons, Direwolves and the White Walkers. Yeesh, those things are creepy. Poor Samwell (John Bradley). Between dragons on the south and dead crystalline things to the north, I’d say Westros is screwed. Stay tuned next year folks.
